Positives:
- It does its job;
- The rotor is individually balanced to reduce the mechanical noise and longer life;
- Provides impression of a quality solid build;
- From a first glance the PCB looks to be a good quality;
- The internal DIP switches help to select a more suitable mode of operation. In my case to reduce noise set the unit to half throughput. The remaining throughput seems to be enough in my case;
- Humidistat is working and if required turns on the fan;
Negatives:
- Power connection:
Very little space for the power cable under the cover. The clip fixing the power cable is too close to the input terminals. To fix the outer cable insulation with the clip the wires need to be cut very short. That makes it inconvenient getting three wires into the tiny terminal holes;
Power terminals are tiny and make the connection fiddly. The terminal signs are also tiny and might be not well visible when the fan is mounted into a position. Another words connecting power cable could be designed better and safer;
- No back draft protection;
- A rather short output spout;
- Make sure you got a proper screws and screwdriver to fix the unit before you try to install it;
Conclusion:
I like the unit and it is second unit of this type I bought;
Hope it will last long as promised by Vent-Axia;
Do not be put off by the "negatives" ;)
