Aesthetically love these things, put it on a natural gas burner and turn the light out while its heating up, its a thing of beauty. Was worried, in my experience percolated coffee has always tasted burned. Look up the process on line and use patience to manage the water temp so it just stays below a light boil. Use a paper filter and invert the inside to use a filter to keep the grounds out. It is definitely is a hands on, high maintenance way to make coffee if you want to make it taste good, but it's fun, satisfying and worth it. I pretty much leave using this to the weekends or on days off, takes a lot of time haha if you are looking for other dope pyrex coffee, check out the vintage Chemex's. The old ones were made by / from pyrex glass. That's a basic pour over set up, little faster good vintage hipster stuff. :) Worth noting the glass is pretty burly and tough enough to withstand more kitchen handling but be careful having it shipped, the higher cost is worth getting it in one piece. Request all pieces be individually bubble wrapped for shipping.Read full review

LOVE this percolator! I use it every day for my morning coffee and the end result is a rich full bodied cup of coffee. It heats up hotter than drip coffee machines and this releases the full body from the coffee bean. I grind my own coffee beans fresh each morning, on a very course setting, add 6 large rounded tablespoons of coffee for 6 cups of filtered water, and brew for 6 minutes, then allow to sit for 10 minutes. No paper filter required. Its a perfect cup of coffee! Tips: Do not overfill the water, it must be below the glass basket. When removing the glass centre basket/stem, take the metal cover off first so the full stem is available for lifting it out. When using on an electric burner, be sure to put a wire heat spreader on the burner and do not sit the glass pot directly on the electric burner as it could crack. The wire heat spreader is not required when using on a gas burner. Read full review

We wanted to see if we could replicate the smell of coffee brewing in the kitchen. Success. Fresh coffee beans, a burr grinder and the percolator. Love it.

Just what I was looking for, although slightly pricy. Close to excellent condition if not for two small chips on rim of the pump base, and in need of a serious cleaning. Now if I could only find a 6cup pyrex basket !

I love it- the only thing that could make it perfect is having stainless parts instead of aluminum. My Keurig is no longer in use.
