I've followed Vitalic for a while now and this is definatly their most complete work yet. Poney parts one and two really ease the album from being truly dance but still adding to the unfolding electro sheek of the album. Much like Boards of Canada, they manage to create music which sounds like its had history yet being fresh and unheard of. If your looking for seriously deep and sometimes dark interpritation of the modern electronic scene then look no further. also see: -Boards of Canada -Mum -Felix the Houscat -RJD2 -Fingathing
I bought this album mainly to actually own a copy of some great tracks, particularly 'Phoney Part 1' as I loved the video, and urge you all to see it. (It might come under the title 'Birds') As soon as I put this on I was really happy with just how quirky it sounds and it also has a dark twist about the feel of the album and I absolutely adore this quality in electronic and IDM artists. I also think that there's a similar feel in this album for those who like Plaid's 'Spokes' album. This packs quite a lot of excitement into jewel casing! I'm off to listen to it again...
Bought this on the strength of the track currently being used on the Toshiba adverts - 'Trahison' - and it was worth it on the strength of that track alone - but there are other, very different, decent tracks on here too. Atmospheric, hard-edged, electronica with a peculiarly French twist. Nice graphics too...
