Ok I purchased this gun as I needed to recover a motorcycle seat. Had a look at the spec and it seemed to fit the bill. It has an adjustable power setting which I thought would be useful. I went about the task and got the cover positioned ready to start stapling. The gun power is just enough to get through a plastic seat base and through the cover material. You have to really make sure your pressing down hard or you'll not get a secure staple. Sometimes it's gets quiet difficult to get the gun to activate because it's not quiet compressed enough. All in all it did the task I asked of it but could do with some more power.

It doesn’t have much power as most staples fold over. Perhaps the staples are the problem but they came with it. Also you need to keep rocking it to get the front part far enough depressed to make it work. I wouldn’t buy it again and may not even use it again. It also jams quite a bit.

I found it really easy to understand despite the fact new DIY tools and gadgets is something I am just getting accustomed to. Was easy to fill the gun just like a normal stapler. Be aware though, you only get a few of the nails so it would make sense to add more nails to the purchase as I had to get to screwfix to buy a box of nails. Just take your time and within 5 minutes you will get the hang of this amazing piece of equipment that will help any woman embarking on a DIY route. Lightweight and easy to use. To use the nailer, both the tip and the nose has to be pressed against the object to activate the handle. It may seem as though its not working if you are not pressing down hard enough. This point is explained in the pamphlet and aside from the safety aspects, this troubleshooting point is very important.Read full review

I had to press hard on the head of stapler to get the staples to go in, and found it awkward to go round corners or upside down, I don’t know if chair was hardwood but this stapler wasn’t up to the job, probably okay for smaller jobs
