New generation
I am 86years old, and many years ago bought and used these pencils, I had a book of love poems given to me, with the poems one side and a picture on the opposite side. I coloured every one, it took quite a while ! My great grandchildren found them, I could not part with mine and then saw that you were selling almost Identical ones so I bought them one each, good for rainy summer holidays.! I thought they were excellent, and the price was amazing, such good value Thank you. Dreadful
These are virtually colourless. What little pigment that comes out dyed my brushes and left a thick, goopy mess on the page. They're also hit and miss, with half the pencils releasing some colour and the others not. I can't even sketch with them, they're that bad, they just infuriate. I've used watercolour pencils for about 25 years and these are the worst I've had. Some didn't even release pigment in water. I would give them to a child but no child deserves the misery of these pencils; I fear it would put them off drawing for years. However, the grade of pencils above this is really, really nice. I can't believe they're sold under the same brand. Be kind to yourself and get the 36 WH Smith set, they are a world apart from these failures.These are virtually colourless. Great for hobby artists
I bought these for my adult son, who I think is a brilliant artist. They have helped him a great deal in his drawings. He does not get on with paints but these pencils are perfect for him to add colour and detail. He recently gave me a framed drawing of my dog for Mothers Day, which he had done himself. It was absolutely perfect, and I am still overwhelmed by it.
