The range of words is great and the size is a great compromise between the giant wrist-breaking dictionaries and the small starter ones. I wanted a dictionary to carry me on from beginners Spanish to hopefully more advanced learning in September. The big negative about the Wordsworth is though the colour of the paper that it is printed on, a murky greyish beige. It makes the reading of the words 100% more difficult than standard black on white. Can't understand why the printers chose to produce this dictionary on such shoddy paper - reference books should be clear to read and this would be a challenge to those with less than perfect eyesight. Having said that, I got my dictionary at a competitive price but I only use it as occasionally. The Cassells' comparable book is far far easier to read. For this reason I have given just a 3 stars rating.Read full review
