    Great for overgrown hedges

    I bought this to replace an earlier model which was no longer sharp after long service. It fitted well to one of my existing handles (which is several years old) but not to another even older one. This saw comes into its own for lopping medium size branches of say 25 to 50 mm diameter. Smaller stuff tends to just bend to and fro, bigger stuff risks getting the blade trapped. The pole is very useful to avoid the need for a ladder and to use the power of two hands. I also use this for trimming small stumps to within 50 mm of the ground, but keep it away from the soil to avoid blunting. It's very sharp so mind your fingers !

    Incredibly sharp

    I came across this product when helping a relative bring down a tree and borrowed theirs. I was so impressed I went out and got my own. It makes short work of decent size trunks (I’ve used it up to about 5” diameter so far). Beware though, it’s easy when navigating branches to touch this to your skin and it will bite and draw a lot of blood with minimal contact. So use with extreme caution! That does explain its efficacy though.

    Superb quality and reliability.

    The design and quality of this tool is superb. It cuts through wood like a knife through butter. I used it attached to the Wolf 4.5 metre extension handle to lop some branches from a tree. At that length you cannot apply too much pressure as the handle bends, but the saw went through the 150-200 mm branches in 5 minutes. The curved shape of the blade keeps it in constant contact so you just push-pull without too much effort. I have used Wolf tools for over forty years and they last a lifetime. This saw has a 35 year warranty.

    Sharp isn't the word ?

    This is like cutting butter with a hot knife ! Who needs electric when, with minimal effort, this blade goes through appreciate size branches with ease. The old saying ' you only get what you pay for ' runs true here. Not cheap, but quality never has been.

    Like a hot knife through butter!

    The saw fits to the pole well and is incredibly sharp, well made, and does the job. There are other saws that could work just as well that are cheaper but for me, the benefits of a single pole for multiple tools makes this worth while.
