Works well, but you should disable the battery charge circuitry
Works well (Arduino + adafruit/RTClib), but the PCB has a charge circuit and the included battery is not rechargeable, so leaving the PCB as-is may damage the battery. The battery will last years (in normal "backup" use), so the added expense of a rechargeable battery doesn't make sense. It's still nice to have the circuit there, in case you want to switch to a rechargeable battery. "Disabling" the charge circuit is easy (just cut one trace on the PCB, google which one).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good product
Both the clock and memory worked well. You need to be aware that you must use a RECHARGEABLE battery. You can use it with standard CR2032 but you must modify the circuit board which is what I did. Great unit for the price....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
