Description says it's a refurbished/recycled battery from a warranty-claimed phone - the one I got is fine, it holds charge like it should do, like my own battery used to do until it got too old. It did come completely discharged or such a very tiny amount of charge that the phone wouldn't even boot-up when I put it in, I had to charge it before I could use it and I thought storing Li-ion batteries discharged wasn't good for them, but it seems fine so this is just for info rather than a complaint

I made the mistake of assuming that becuase the description didn't say it was 'used', then it must be new. Having received the battery, I doubt this - it has contact marks on the terminals and looks scruffy and well handled. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I get. I've learned a valuable lesson at a relatively small cost...

Brand new HTC battery, purchased to replace the original one that came with the phone many years ago. Phone now charges very quickly and lasts a long time between charges.
