If you are looking for a phone that has great battery life (about 4/5 days on one charge) and great reception and you dont mind the retro look this this is it! Ive had two of these and the only reason i had to get a new one was because i dropped it in a club and it got danced on quite a bit!! but saying that it still worked the screen was the only thing that broke!!
It does everything a phone is supposed to do: calls and SMS. I've had one some 14-15 years ago, and it's still my favorite mobile phone. A keyboard made from a single piece of rubber means there can be no dirt in between or around keys, it just cleans off the surface right away. Very well made monochrome screen with white back-light is better than regular old black-on-green monochrome screens made with greenish-yellow back-light. Perfectly readable in any possible light conditions -- be it middle of the night or the brightest summer day. Menu structure is the most intuitive and simplest of all without being dumb (it's basically same old classic Nokia menu).

This is a great phone! Not what is called flash, the scallies won't be mugging you for this in a hurry. Their loss. This phone has been invaluable to me, having withstood very many knocks and drops, and what with having a built-in torch has gotten me off many a cliffside and dark moor... nor does the torch particularly run down the battery. The battery stays charged up all week long, sometimes more like a month. This phone is robust, its buttons good to touch and use, and the menu systems uncomplicated and swift. It does not take pictures, show photographs, pick up radio or play 'polyphonic' tones. Although you can surf the internet on it - just about. This phone is light, discreet, and extremely practical.
Bought this as a replacement for a 1100 (this model looks identical but this has a white display & is easier to see).It is a basic phone for us "luddites" who just want to make calls & the occasional texts and as such does the job well with excellent battery life,both I & my other half have one as does her mother.It's other main good points are that it doesn't have a touch screen or camera, you can't get on the interweb (or whatever it's called!)& you can buy different colour facias if you want to go all trendy. Bad points......it is usually cheap to get hold of & (because of the good points) good ones are in demand !! EXCELLENT PHONE!!
What am I doing buying a mobile phone that is many years out of date in just about every aspect save that it works beautifully as a mobile phone? I have been the happy owner of one of these phones for more years than I can recall, keep it as a reliable backup and use it on occasions too. Of its type and generation it is a classic. Hardy, robust, simple to use, elegant - and did I mention reliable. I have had other mobiles of course but not one came near in sound quality and I wonder how much would need to be spent on a phone to do so. Of course it has next to no features compared to modern phones. Buy one for fun and to see how it feels to hold one of these old mobiles. It fits comfortably in the hand and has a keypad which is a delight to use. Ever a great phone! An excellent alarm too.
his is the best phone ever...most resistant...with good battery...and perfect for people that use the phone for calls and texts...cause after all this is the definition of a mobile phone...a thing that you can carry it around with the purpose to call/ receive calls and send/receive texts :)
These Nokia 1101's are good because they are light, they've got all the basic features you need and are also very strong, so should you drop it it shouldnt break. It has a nice blue/White screen and I personally prefer it with the silver casing. It is also cheap so if it does break it is cheap enough to replace, there's isn't anything that I don't like about this phone it's an excellent all rounder.
