I bought this phone in sudden panic after my old-reliable, sony ericsson brick came to grief in a glass of milk. I didn't want anything that was touch operated, just a candy bar that would allow me to text fast, take the odd picture and stand the test of time. So far I have been very pleased with it as a simple phone with visually pleasing, user friendly, sensible software - but this is something I would attribute to all sony ericsson software. The camera, for all of their adverts promoting the so-called 'cyber shot' is disappointing. For me thats not a concern at all as I only use the feature for the occasional light-hearted snapshot, but if thats of key interest this is not a phone you should consider. So far so good in its ability to cope with my butter-fingers nature, but i guess only time will tell on that one. It can occassionally be a little slow, but it never actually crashes in my experience. The phone is attractive to look at and comfortable to use. If you want something straight forward but pleasant to use and which also allows you to feel that in some small way you have embrassed the technology of the 21st century, this phone will do the trick.Read full review
Whenever I get to the end of my mobile phone contract I normally get a free upgrade phone when I renew. I then give the old phone to my son (you know kids don't take care of mobiles). So as usual I went to renew my mobile contract only to find there was no free upgrade phone offered, so I had to keep my old phone. My sons mobile phone was no longer working, so I thought I would look on Ebay for a phone for him. I was apprehensive because I did not know whether I would get a phone that was listed as ok but when I got it it would not work properly. I found a used phone and purchased it. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised it looked clean and only had a small amount of wear on the back. It worked perfectly well, I thought bargain. I purchased my Sony Ericsson C510 Mobile Phone firstly because its a firm I trust and secondly because it was at the best price I could find. It was the first time to use e-bay services and pay-pal, so I was a bit worried for the purchase. Finally everything went out smoothly and the phone arrived much earlier than I expected. The only frastrating think is that Greek language and text is not supported by the software currently installed and I have to find a Sony Ericsson representative in my area so that I change the software. If that process is time consuming and/or expensive it will make my purchase worthless. That I have to find out.
