LG VX5400 Verison Flip Phone
Compact. Fits easily in your pocket. When folded closed for carrying or storage the keypad is protected. Using a phone like this for more than 15 years my butt has yet to make or answer a phone call. Even my I-Phone (work-required or I wouldn't have one) has butt-dialed more than once. The VX5400 cell phone is the perfect item for someone that still uses a phone to talk to actually talk to people. Opened device curves with your face placing the mike and speaker right where they do the most good: over your ear and in front of your mouth. Pressing the flat plate of newer phones to my cheek in order to hear has caused the phone to hang up and/or switch to face-time in the middle of a call. I can only imagine the view. My computer sits on my desk. I don't need one in my pocket. More states are passing laws against texting while driving making this phone even more perfect as without a 7" screen it's almost impossible to do. Why oh why does everyone try to change perfection? Sure, it's old... So what?
Yeah, it's "old". Yeah, it's an "antique". Yeah, it's "obsolete". So what? I don't need "the internet in my hand"...but I do need a phone. This little phone slips nicely into a pocket, and the battery lasts for days! I bought this to replace my previous VX5400, which broke. My previous phone went through the washing machine twice, and accompanied me once when I fell out of a canoe. Each time I dried it out, and it worked fine thereafter. The hinge finally gave up, so this new one replaces the old (still functioning) unit. I hear ya laughing....that's fine with me!
