Given its release date and its age, it is really astonishing what this little machine is capable of. Obviously I wouldn't compare it to today's smartphone. But I personally think it is reasonable to assume that this phone comes next. On the cons side of things: We have the touchpad which is inaccurate and unpredictable. And the 3G signal is quite weak on this phone, so it will fallback on 'EDGE' much to often. That could also be due to the fact that mobile networks operate in our days on 4G which this phone isn't capable of.

This is my first blackberry and most certainly won't be my last, they are brilliant!! -The phone is easy to use for someone like myself who did not fancy the qwerty key pad or a touch screen. -blackberry messenger is fast and easy to use (infact, it almost replaces the need for txt message when used with the free app. "ping") -the camera quality is crystal clear, easy to upload pics onto my Macbook (which is compatible to my surprise without having to download any software) -my favourite use of the Pearl is the handy music keys along the top of the phone, they make skipping tracks, shuffling tracks and controlling the phone when plugged into the aux of my car stereo and bluetooth handsfree easy and quick. -internet brousing is super fast -all in all i am very pleased with the smart phone, the only downer was i had to buy a leather case myself, but £4.99 off ebay later and Blackberry are forgiven!!Read full review
I purchased the Blackberry 3105 as an alternative to touchscreen phones, as I have limited dexterity. Originally had a Nokia 5800 which was ok with the stylus, upgraded to a Nokia X6 and although a better phone I had some difficulty navigating around and with texts. On recommendation I went for the Blackberry with conventional keypad and touch sensitive track pad. In all respects it is an excellent phone easy to use and with very good screen image. The response speed for internet browsing and e-mail download is amazing. The camera and music player are equal to the opposition and whilst some of the apps are a bit quirky there is something for everyone. Overall it was an excellent purchase
