The reason I purchased the Nokia 5200 mobile?. I already own one which I find very reliable, easy to use, and liked the features it has. My eldest grandson owned another make which had the very annoying habit of switching itself off whenever it felt like it!!! very, very frustrating when in the middle of a phone call. When the 5200 came up on eBay I thought, what a brilliant way to introduce him to a reliable mobile, and was extremely pleased that I managed to get it. He, in turn, has found it an easy phone to use. Would not hesitate to buy from eBay any product I thought to be in good condition/working order and, most important in these economic climes, fairly priced.
I love this phone.I had one of these years ago and was gutted when i broke it so when i saw this on ebay i thought id bid and i won it for £10.Cute looking phone, very easy to use,has everything you need, music player is great,mp3 ringtones, couple of games on it,camera is a bit naff though.Ive tried to use my hubbys touch screen phone but it seems to have a mind of its own,I prefer a phone thats not to confusing.
What a great little compact phone this is, take it with me everywhere cos I don't want tech on the go any more, superb product, like new and I love it, even bought headphones for the built in radio, came well packaged and good delivery time.

i was looking for a phone like this for my son for about 2 months but because they stop bringing them over here the ones that i found was expensive so i was very happy when i saw this one on ebay and also on the cheap price so i get it,i am happy with my purchase and my son just got the phone that he really love!!
Having always had Nokia's, the time had come for another change of phone. Although I've also got a 6300, I felt that I needed a phone that I didn't mind if it got knocked, scratched etc as the 6300 is a classy piece of kit and prone to marking. The 5200 fitted the bill. I opted for the black, simply because the finish suits my needs, lifestyle etc. This is my first slider phone and I'm impressed. Usual ease of use, doddle to use with good quality sound output and ease of connectivity. Nokia have finally adopted a standard USB cable for data instead of using loads of different model specific leads. Uploaded all my contacts and the phone works a dream. Good quality audio and a nice loud ring for a change. What I do like about Nokia is that when using the phone memory for contacts (instead of the sim), you can add multiple numbers for the same contact name, plus email addresses, notes etc. I'm pleased they kept this format for the 5200. Camera isn't bad for a VGA and works well; lets face it, if you need a camera then buy one, but for a phone that cost me £50, the built in camera is as expected. Usual features such as bluetooth, calendar, email access, gallery etc. The only thing to be aware of, is the screen resolution isn't as sharp as most standard monoblock phones, due mainly to the means of connection used for a sliding phone. Changing menu's etc., is reminiscent of earlier LCD portable TV's where the screen 'fades' from one image to another. It's not a fault of the phone, but a characteristic of being a slider. That aside though, it's a top phone and I'd well recommend the 5200. PS: Considered the 5300, but the blurb on Nokia website stated it isn't email compatible (which I need). If it had of been, I'd have opted for the 5300 only because the camera's a better spec.Read full review
