A brilliant phone, but one which could be a world-beater if Microsoft had included flash capability and an easier way to drag and drop files. The keypad is not as good as the iPhone4, but I have got sick of sending texts to the wrong person and calls not cutting off on the iPhone...which can be expensive !! The windows apps are also lagging behind the iPhone, but they are quite good still....need a bit more development. It's certainly very slick and easy to use and a world apart from the earlier windows phones. I love the overall package of a 4 inch screen combined in a sleek design of case which is very elegant and practical. The phone works well, has reasonable battery life and combined with WiFi, e-mail and social sites gives a brilliant user experience unlike any other phone system currently available. Heartily recommended.Read full review
The Samsung Omnia 7 has a wide selection of features which makes it a perfect smartphone. I will use a list of pros and cons to elaborate on my points. Pros - The SuperAMOLED screen (4.0") is brilliant and rivaled only by the Samsung Galaxy S II. - The Windows Phone 7 OS is very easy to use. Cons Battery struggles to last over 2 days over medium to heavy usage.
The Omnia 7 is a very good example of a Windows Phone 7 device. The build quality is all the good stuff you would expect from Samsung with very little plastic and beautiful clear, and large, screen. The phone OS itself does take some getting used to, especially if you're coming from iPhone, but that is an easy transition which takes a couple of days at most. Feature-wise, it has most of the things you would expect from a decent smartphone. The email client is excellent and connects to most flavours of mail account. I ties in to your Facebook account and allows you to post to your wall without having to log back in, and also imports all your Facebook contacts to your address book so you're in easy reach of all your friends There are a few oddities however. No custom ring tones can be added as of now, though the default ones are pretty cool and oddly soothing. The apps are a little lacking overall but they're getting better, certainly the games are miles ahead of the other phones due to some really nice xBox features built-in to the phone OS itself.Read full review
I like it because you can take the battery out and know that you're not being spied on. You don't have to remain tethered to Apple or Google. You can use it without creating some account at Microsoft. No apps to distract you. You can use it for making phone calls, texting and emails, which is all I want from a mobile. Perfect !
