No more crying in the chair!!!
I always dread going to the salon, you know how it goes ladies, you ask for a trim, and it ends up being waaaay shorter than you wanted!! Ughh!! Now I do it myself, easily. The clip is well made, grips tightly, and allows you to take your time and get it right. Sooo glad I snagged one!! I have cut my own hair and my daughter's but the problem I had before was holding the hair between my fingers, sometimes they would slip and cramp up while trying to cut it. I'd have to check and recheck...no more!! Now it looks exactly the way I want it to, it's layered AND it's still long! Yaaaas! No more waiting for appts, and more $$$ in my pocket. It's paid for itself already! I paid $24.99 for the 2 pieces (long curved and short straight) vs $40+ tip at the salon..if you are a little hesitant/nervous, don't be, just watch a couple YouTube vids and you're good to go! Good concept but...
I have thick , long hair. I watched tutorial videos. Looks easy but results are not what I expected. Hair doesn't stay in place that easy. I used the flat iron first. Got help from my spouse to put the clip in place. Was ok for trimming bands but not for hair face framing layers. For trimming straight hair is ok but not for a good cut since hair doesn't stay in place at it should be. I kept it just for trimming but not to create layers. At least that was my experience with this product. Probably you want to try it and see if you have better luck. A lot of good reviews , though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

May take some help
I wear my medium length hair in a bob. Only the hair in back fits into the clip. I asked my husband to make sure the clip was level and make the cut. I trimmed the sides. One of the best things I've ever bought
I have long hair, and I really hate going to the hairdresser unless I absolutely have to. Time is one concern, of course, but my main problem is that they ALWAYS cut off more hair than I want them to. I can tell them "don't take off more than an inch" and even show them, with finger and thumb "no more than this" and it's as if I'm talking to myself. Invariably they hack off three inches or more. I've trimmed my own hair many times, but not well. It's so hard to keep the cut even. This dandy little tool is so wonderful, I have no words to describe it. The built-in level is the perfect touch. Line up the little bubble, and rest assured that you're not gonna take off one inch on the left and one and a half inches on the right. I also have bangs, and trimming them is now a breeze. Wonderful invention!
What an awesome way to save time and money on haircuts! I bought this to use on my grade school-aged daughters, who have very fine, slippery, straight hair. I had tried cutting their hair before and it came out embarrassingly uneven. Now I can cut it in a few minutes and it looks like it was done in the salon. I haven't tried doing layers yet but it looks super simple. Creaclip has instructional videos on their website which helped me do it right. As first I was a bit skeptical in purchasing it, but after seeing all the videos I said OK I'm going to try it. I first tried it on my daughter who has very long hair. She was due for a hair cut and was willing to try thiis. I must say she was very happy with her hair cut. Especially saving herself the cost to getting it done professionally. She recieve lots of compliments. I too took the leap and had her do my hair. Mine was a little tricky cause I wear a layered bob. I cut my own hair!
I used the larger clip to cut my own hair after watching some videos on Youtube, and it came out looking GREAT! I had to trim a few stray hairs here and there, but overall it was excellent. would not reccomend
Tough to use with waist line hair length. Almost entirely hard to find bubble with level . Not well designed at all . Pulls the heck out of hair as well . Giving to a friend . Hopefully she will have better luck with it being her hair is finer than mine and not as long .
