Optical capabilities include a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens with 12x optical zoom and Super SteadyShot image stabilization.The HDR-FX1E offers an unprecedented amount of control to the user, including manual zoom, focus, and iris control. Picture Profile allows the user to create a number of preset video modes for a variety of shooting settings. Very first HD camera from Sony but still amazing in 2018
Having used video cameras for many years I remember when these came out new, I was in my teenage years and could never afford one of these beasts! Now in 2018 when people just don't have the time to copy tapes to computers as in a work environment you can't be waiting an hour to copy tapes over to your computer these are so well priced! I have this one and the Z1 and both cost me £400 or just under... So happy to own it! :)
