Excellent value HF mobile antenna
This is an excellent monoband mobile vertical. My 20m/14Mhz whip tuned up easily, giving an SWR of 1.2 pretty much all across the phone section of the band. I paired the antenna with a tailgate mount, having made sure the tailgate itself was electrically bonded to the rest of the car with some old coax braid. 20m thru to 12m, with aditional whips, brilliant antenna
An excelent and well made antenna. Central uk to usa on 20m on a mag mount on the car roof.. 5 and 7 both ways. Also found it will tune to all bands up to 12m if you change the whip for different lenghts. (You cannot just drop more of the supplied whip inside as itbypasses the windings near the top, and does not tune where you expect.. No wip at all, tunes to approx 27mhz, so you just miss out on 10m. On 12m you could probably drive arround with the shorter whip, (approx 6 inches of wire coathanger) but certainly not the full length. You do need to mark where the whip tunes to 1:1 but its not been a problem at all. Will be buying for the lower bands too. Very pleased indeed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very good aeria
Very good aerial. I regularly make contacts in east America and north Sweden from southern England on 40 watts with this on the roof of the car with a home made mag mount. However I've found it needs an ATU to get 1 to 1 swr right across the band.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight, solidly built hamstick type antenna.
The AMPRO-20 from Sigma-4-antennas (I believe Moonraker make a similar product). Is a solidly build, lightweight antenna that does exactly what it's supposed to. It doesn't beat my homebrew delta loop, but the loop isn't portable, this is. When working portable it's quick and easy to erect (or disassemble), making it well suited to casual working from a car for that odd occasion you have free to play. There are two grub screws holding the whip section in place, so the whip is firmly held. Also, as the loaded section is hollow most of the whip can be dropped down in to the tube for storage, which I'm finding is a useful feature.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ampro does it again
I have purchased two of these now 1 for 40 metres and now this one for the 20 metre band . Once again it performed superbly, swr was spot on across the band and huge signals both ways. AmPro 20m antenna
This Am Pro 20 metre mobile antenna has a thinner whip than my Pro-am 40 metre mobile antenna. Also it does not unscrew in the middle like the Pro-am. Separation of the whip from the base section has to be done with the allen key which is less convenient.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
