Complicated, but enjoyable
I have enjoyed Avalon Hill games since my childhood in the 60s. Yet, I did not buy this game when it came out. A friend told me about it,and I decided to look for a used copy, as it is out of print. The game is very detailed and the armor properties are well thought out. The game mechanics are a bit cumbersome and it requires a lot of table checking, back and forth. But, it is the kind of thing I like. So, I recommend it to the WWII buff, who demands realism and accuracy. I still prefer a great miniatures simulation, e.g. Final Combat. But without an opponent, this solitaire board game fits the bill.

Old fashion fun that lives up to its name---"Patton's Best."
I had this older game years ago but it was lost in a recent move. Was happy to find this wonderful game. So much research was done to make this realistic as possible. A joy to own. Highly recommended for those gamers that are familiar with charts and dice to determine the outcome.
