R*) downlighter replacement - A solution that works.
For those of us with 1970s houses fitted with R80 125mm downlighters these provide a good solution for replacing them. I had 2 of mine break their plastic retaining clips during removal for the decorators. They are unobtainium now and I only had one spare left so a replacement meant closing the original 125mm holes in the ceiling, replastering and recutting for modern downlighter fittings or an alternative. These are that alternative and they work well.

Good quality poor clips
Looks very good in a large ceiling hole but the spring clips don't hold it very securely but then again what is on the ceiling to move it!
