  • Small, lightweight, 5v, I2C device with three detectors.

The BME offers temperature, humidity and air pressure. This one is the 5 volt, I2C model. I have blown up a number of the 3.3v models by connecting them to an Arduino without a resistor! Much easier to buy the right model in the first place. I use this for an environment detector for my observatory. The I2C bus is an easy way of linking up to 255 devices and of course this is 3-in-1. Recommended.

  • Work well with ESP32

I bought two of these on different occasions. Running both within inches of each other using ESP32 MCUs to read them, shows that they are consistent for pressure (0.04%) and temperature (0.2%). Humidity is not so consistent (3.5%) The high reading device is high for all measurements. Close to measurements taken with analogue thermometer and barometer. Good enough for a weather station.

  • Flexibile design.

This module has an on board 3.3 volt voltage regulator and logic level converter. This means it can be powered from 5 volts and work with logic levels of either 3.3 or 5 volts. The only possible problem with this is these components will generate a small amount of heat which will probably cause it to read a slightly higher temperature than the air temperature. Les.

  • Works fine but you need the right software

I bought this expecting it to work out the box with either pimoroni or adafruit software but could not get them to work. However a module developed by Matt Hawkins ( search git hub) works fine. A great addition to my weather station

  • Nice little device

Great product, easy to program using Ardunio, readings seem reasonably accurate.

  • Cheap weather station

Cheaper than the Pimorini equivalent, but just as effective. Using mine on a Pi Zero to remotely monitor temperature in another room.
