  • Sony Mavica MVC-FD81 still kicking and taking great pictures!

Great little vintage camera. I wanted it to take pictures of my ceramic work so I keep it in my workshop all of the time. The print images are very good and I am happy about that. I had purchased a Figi instamatic camera to do that job and it was a complete failure. I hated it. Even though this Sony is older and takes 3.5 disks, it works great for me. I have a 3.5 disk card reader with a usb plug so I can use it on my updated computer without any problems. I am so glad I bought this camera. I was able to order an additional battery and charger (if I ever need a new one) off of Amazon so I am good to go for a long time. Very pleased with my purchase.

  • Great Vintage Floppy Disc Journey!

An only digital camera but works like mine did in 1999.... Solid and functional if you can still use and read floppies. Works great for my small inventory close-ups to my website....A Great vintage journey!

  • Still living in the 20th Century ???

I bought one of these at retail in the 1990's for $800 plus dollars, so ~$10 these days is a great deal. Battery is the weak part, as due to age most will not recharge now. So obtaining a spare battery is required, but without fear it will burst in flames as in some newer products.

  • Exactly what I wanted

The thing does exactly what I wanted it to do, take photos and shove them onto a floppy diskette. I will say that the battery did work, but quickly died and had to be replaced with a new one. Otherwise though, does exactly what I needed it to do.
