Please note, however, that you'll need a separate wireless modem for WiFi signal (this modem does not provide WiFi capability). This is a good device if you have 250 Mbps of less. 8 download channels, 4 upload channels. easy setup with Optonline. No need for visit from tech, not that techs arent nice people! Swapped it out, powered it up. Waited ten minutes, booted it again. Waited ten minutes booted my wireless router. Then I called Optimum told them I swapped out my modem. They took five minutes to register the modem. That was it. Back in business. I bought this modem used to replace the one from Optimum. They started to charge a $10 rental fee monthly. Search the Optimum webpage for the directions on setting up your own modem. Set it up.
