As with other Milwaukee products, the build on this compact inflator is Excellent. The flexibility of it using M12 li-ion batteries is great in that you don't have to worry about trailing cords or plugging it in of you have a full battery. It's robust and sturdy, but reasonable light, with the bulk of the weight coming from the battery (and which capacity battery you choose to use). There are corded inflators that are smaller though, and if I am hyper-critical I would say the design could have been made more compact; after all there are cheaper make cordless inflators that have a hand-held drill style shape and application. But it's a powereful inflator, with intuitive buttons for setting the pressure and turning on, as well as a blue backlit LCD display. I would say it is best used when you have several external jobs in a row where plugging in somewhere (whether to 12v cigarette lighter sockets or to 13a wall points) is a limitation or inconvenience. Battery power at 12v is just as good with this particular item. Expensive, especially when new in comparison to other inflators, but you get what you pay for. The warranty when bought new is better than most other inflators - this is important when considering buying an inflator, as standard inflators are notorious for breaking down. I am very relaxed about the build quality of this Milwaukee product. It's top quality. Just take care on the sharpish edges while taking the battery out; there are two pressure points on the battery which need to be pressed when taking the battery out; it would have been nicer and easier if the machine has a battery eject button. As it is, wearing any type of glove will help protect your fingers when taking the battery out.Read full review

It loses pressure when unscrewing Schafer valve from tyres etc Really difficult to remove battery from unit especially 6amp type

Very good quality auto shut off. Why doesn’t it also ha e a cigarette lighter socket too it is 12v anyway. But great for portable use. No quicker than cheap double pump Chinese pumps 25% of price but it better quality and the gauge is better. Seems better than Mikita battery one marginally again cheaper and I prefer Mikita valve connector

As a Bicycle Mechanic I find I need to inflate tyres a lot. other motorised pumps don't work for me as the need to be plugged into a car battery. this little treasure used the 12 v Milwaukee drill batteries and is totally portable. set up for shredder valves(car type) i do need to use an adaptor for Presta (racing bike) valves, or have to remove it for the occasional mountain bike tube but find this more reliable than the dual purpose connectors found on most track pumps

I always think it strange that one has to buy a battery separate from the supply of the body. However this unit is first class and will give me a long life as a tyre inflator of quality. It displays PSI and BAR depending which you prefer. It quickly charges big tyres. No complaints.
