The camera was sent on time and well packed and in good condition. No complaints there. Also good price. However, having had a nikon digital with bigger pixels and stabiliser this was a bit of a let down. Very hard to take pics that are not blurred. I hope the vendor did not sell it because of that. I try and believe the best. I had a Nikon p4 and it was excellent. Took some great pics on it including David Bailey who happened to be working in the area. However Dopey Nuts here dropped it twice and it is now a dead camera. Also, I don't like lithium batteries. The Nikon p60 uses aa but this camera is hard to find. Buy Cheap Buy Twice is the old Jewish saying!!!
Bought this camera for my son who is 12 and just getting into photography. It is a neat little camera, offering a range of effects and settings which he has found easy to apply. The screen is large enough to see the shots clearly and to review them is very simple. The camera feels good quality and not at all lightweight or plasticky. It has a lens which automatically zooms out when the camera is turned on, and which shuts itself away to protect the lens when the camera is turned off. It does tend to eat batteries, which can eb a downside to some digital cameras. we use rechargeable ones, where possible, although I believe that lithium batteries offer a longer lifespan. My son has taken loads of pics so far and has even managed to upload some to our village website. The quality is pretty good for a first timer! Focussing is automatic, although occasionally, with closer shots, the camera sometimes focuses on the background - but I shouldn't blame the camera - maybe it is the 12 year old!! In all, we have been delighted with this camera - we paid £29.99 on this site and it was money well spent.Read full review
this camera was brought for my 6 year old. simple to use with all the features you would expect from nikon. he found after basic instruction it really easy to use and is now getting a bit more technical with it. i did look into getting a child orientated camera but found the quality poor for the prices so opted for a second hand better camera and am really pleased. he too was pleased as he has a grown up camera and to my suprise is treating it with respect.
If you,ve had a Nikon Digital before then a lot of the features and buttons will work the same and be instantly recognizable. If your new to Nikon then take a little time with the manual to familiarize yourself with the multidirectional joypad control and central ok button then you will be up and running in 20 minutes or so and hooked on Nikon simplicity. A great little 35mm replacement for Holiday and Wedding snaps, ideal for non techies and the Older Photographer yet to take the plunge into digital photography.
I like the design, really tidy and sleek. I love the fact you can put it on your pocket, (its about the size of a large mobile phone). The only slight dislike I have is that the battery compartment lid is really small, (my husband's hands are too big to close it!). The reason I chose this particular camera is because it looks so cute and looking through all the facts and information, the memory and zoom etc. are roughly the same as others of a similar standard.
