Still a very capable high quality camera
If you need a decent camera for sports, then choose one of these before an entry level new model. Megapixel seems low but quality of images are absolutely excellent when coupled with a decent enough lens - for example the VR 55-300 Nikon. Shutter counts seem to be the main deciding factor when people purchase a camera but I have NEVER had a shutter failure on one of these high end Nikon’s. Nowadays, shutters are made with planned obsolescence so that they are doomed to fail. It is a marketing ploy in order for consumers to buy new cameras as they get produced. Nothing more. These cameras do not suffer this problem generally. All in all, I would highly recommend one of these models.
