Bought camera to go on holiday and worked great. Lightweight and easy to use.great camera. Kids able to use easy
Solid feel metal body with presets inc full auto function plus manual options inc spot, bracketing etc. Personally like most I set it at auto or one of several pre-set modes. Hardly ever a bad photo. Software simple to install and use. Robust in the extreme, my daughters friend 'bounced' it over rocks in Barbados to no ill effect apart from a couple of minor dings! Two quibles: Shutter has to be closed to review pics, screen by todays standards a bit small and lacking but it has a viewfinder for actually taking the photos so no need to put your specs on for this primary function. Nifty remote, good battery life, nicely styled, many features (see full specs)...if you see one cheap and in good 'nick' on ebay just go for it!
This camera is very easy to use; just slide the cover back to turn it on. It's small and light enough to carry easily in a jacket pocket and because of this, you're more likely to use it than a larger, better spec camera. It isn't a new model and there are smaller cameras with better specs out there, but because of it's age, a good condition example can be obtained for a very reasonable cost. It's very robust and easy to use, and it was for this reason I bought one for my 6 year old daughter - and later, another for my 78 year old father. The battery life is very good, and should the battery fail or you require another for a spare, one can be obtained on eBay very cheaply. The pictures it takes are very good quality; the colours are very natural and although it's only 5.0 megs resolution a 10" x 8" print is not out of the question. I find this camera very hard to fault; it does everything that you can reasonably expect of a camera in it's price range and even more when you consider that it comes with a very good remote control - if you buy one, I don't believe you will be disappointed!Read full review
This camera is outdated now - 5 MP and small screen etc. This is the second one I have owned and find it invaluable because I am a diver and have the waterproof housing for it. When I flooded my previous camera last month it made sense for me to replace the camera rather than the whole set-up at a cost of a few hundred pounds. For the price the camera can provide very good shots, even in restricted light under water. It is easy to use even through a housing in freezing water wearing 5mm thick neoprene gloves! I would recommend this camera for those on a budget or in a similar situation to me- using the camera for diving. One word of warning- the plastic rail the shutter runs on has broken on both of my cameras so this must be a fault with the manufacture. On my origional camera I had to use an elastic band to keep the shutter on and allow the pressure sensor to believe the shutter was open and therefore turn the camera on. ARGH! In my underwater housing this wasn't an issue but it was annoying using it normally. I like this camera enough to want it to make my diving memories live forever and take the risk that I may flood it again and have to spend another £20 to replace it in the future!Read full review
