Morphy Richards Saturn Steam iron
Love this iron. Can safely say it is the best iron I’ve had in a very long time. The steam function is brilliant generating lots of steam and the trigger under the handle for a burst of steam is very handy. I havn’t found that I’ve had to refill the tank any more than any other iron and in fact the water tank seems to me to be bigger than average. Good Features But Heavy
I needed a new iron and saw this one. I have had Morphy Richards irons for many years and have always been happy with them. I liked the idea of an inbuilt steam pump and an automatic heat and steam setting. Intially I was skeptical of the automatic heat setting but it works well and means you don't have to worry about adjusting the iron for each separate fabric. There is a manual override which allows you to set the iron to any temperature you need. The illuminted display is very good and easy to read, far better than traditional rotary knobs which are so easy to knock accidentally onto the wrong temperature. The steam spray button is very easy to use with the index finger and is in exactly the right place. The downsides are that the iron is rather heavy, a good 12 ounces heavier than than my previous one, but is is quite well balanced. The other issue is that is uses water very quickly. A full tank will only iron 4 or 5 shirts before it needs refilling. I suppose these are the downsides of having a built-in steam pump.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
