I bought this camera for a mate who has taken up photography, he was having trouble (in certain lighting conditions) seeing the screen on his compact camera. I was so taken with the D5700 that I bought one for myself. (My camera bag now weighs a ton), D80 plus lenses, flash, and ring flash, ( I like insects) photographing not eating them, and the D5700 also I have a Nikon coolpix 5600in my pocket. Macro photography with the D5700 is a breeze in daylight but not inside using the inbuilt flash. The lens cuts off the flash to the lower part of the frame.(Only to be expected ) So, on the whole a very good camera and its a good bridge between a compact camera and a full blown S.L.R.
Great camera, easy to use, great photo results.

Excellent, great value for money. Given age, takes really great 'photos, better than our digital slr which was much more expensive. Solid, will take a knock. Delivery was quick, camera well packaged.
These cameras are very good... up until the CCD sensor fails, and then it's useless. This is a known fault and was the subject of a Nikon recall (now expired), so if it goes black then you're stuffed.

Good camera. Relatively good pictures. There and negatives. Severe menu. Slowly making adjustments to the aperture and speed
