I have a pentax k-x with a 270mm lens x 1.5 crop factor =405mm, I have taken better photos of the same situation with this fuji, ok it's not as flexible as a DSLR and it's a little (a little) slow focusing on flying birds in low light but occasionally you can get lucky and get a good photo, however it's one of the few bridge cameras with manual focus option (buttons) and slow shutter speed of I think 30 seconds, I've been able to capture an okay image of the great nebula in orion and was surprised, not brilliant but it sparked an interest in astrophotography, it does have a lens thread so you can add a cheap 2x teleconvertor for about £10 ; and filters etc..

This is a cheap Bridge camera which can be used as a good introductory to single shot or video recording with several features to enhance the end result. it can serve as an unobtrusive camera that you can slip in and out of your pocket rather than a large camera which may bring unwanted attention.Equally it is a decent bit of kit which produces reasonable still images and videos.The built in zoom is very impressive.

I Purchased this Camara to back my own Finepix S5600 Which i have had for about 4 years now,which i have never had any problems with so far,but as with every unit maybe i will one day.So for the price that this Camara was selling for it was a complete bargain.Although it only has 5.1 megapixels if it is used correctly even in Auto Mode for the complete beginner, then it puts out really Excellent Photos against Camaras costing Three or Four times the value,so the lower Megapixel output really is not such a big Deal.Having taken literally hundreds and hundreds of Pictures with my own Finepix S5600 there is no need to spend rediculous money on Bigger and so called Better Camaras if you are just like me an Amateur who wants Good shots but not at Professional Prices.Therefore in conclusion i now have another Camara available for use at the ready which will do the job quite nicely thanks..Yes i would reccomend this Camara to anyone who wants to experiment in Photography at a Realistic Price Tag.Read full review
This was/is a great buy for someone who isn't a pro but wants to make those first steps into the world of photography. I love using and learning about it. Only one small drawback is the instruction manual that comes with it is in French and Italian. Am quite sure it will be easy enough to order a version in ones' own language which I am going to do. Other than that I think it's brilliant and advise all to buy one!
