Good for HDMI with inbuilt sound, modern bluetooth setups are a nightmare with this device.
The look and feel of the device are top notch, it is a pity that it lacks essential features. I wanted to use this with my home theater Projector and Bluetooth sound system. This proved to be very difficult as you are unable to cast the audio to any other device in your google smart home such as your Bluetooth speakers, google home, nest devices, Bluetooth headphones or sound bars. This left me with a lovely picture on screen but no audio. There are additional adapters such as the B2B137-BLK which can be used to split your signal, but it adds a lot of additional cable mess to what should be a clean, single cable setup.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Okay but ...
This was easy to set up using the google home app for our Android 'phones. My Chromebook just recognised it and connected straight away. Only four stars 'cos it won't mirror the screen with Android and it should. As far as I can tell from the 'net, this is a recent but common problem. Devices DO NOT communicate directly to the Chromecast but through a Home Router which initially needs an Internet Connection for the Chromecast to register with Google and Update Firmware. Convenient and very easy to set up with your android device!
This is an excellent product! It is easy to set up and very convenient for you to "cast" your Youtube or other videos/social media to your TV so long as it has a USB port and an outlet nearby.Don't be fooled like I was. get the real deal from Google. First time around I bought a product that "claimed" to be a Chromecast. Poor WiFi connection
The WiFi reception is much less than a Google Home Mini or for example an Apple TV. The Google Home Mini has established a WiFi connection while the Chromecast needs a stronger signal. (Both located at the same place behind the TV) I ended up having to buy a WiFi extender for the Chromecast to work. Other than that, I do what it promises to do. You'll only ever need the Google TV, It does everything!
I had heard good things about this product and they are all true. I love the way in integrates things like Amazon, Netflix, Stan etc but that's not all it automatically finds the genres you like and gives you recommendations. It will take car of logging into the different streaming services, you just need to put the passwords into it the first time you run a program from that service.
