One relic to reason
This dated HTC was thought to be one the last HTC models since the buy-out. However, as the brand continues to fight off it's cheaper competition into 2020, this model needs to impress the same audience as the sub £100 mark Mi's, etc. The first issue with the 10, is the size of the screen, being much smaller than rivals, and the rather awkward curve and loose side buttons. Other than the obvious differences, the build quality is still brandishingly hallmarked in the 10, and offers a presentational package with some reasonable Snapdragon performance. The audio DAC is impressive as is the port speaker but still considered a step back for HTC. The upgraded front camera and stabilization is a clear improvement over previous versions (but not the market). Speaking of versions, at Android v.8 (without OTA), the interface will be a love / hate choice for the user, but in my opinion that version doesn't carry the benefits of older versions and is well behind the current features of Android 10. Thus, presenting a serious issue for buyers. The battery performance isn't too bad, but again doesn't compare with the current price bracket of competitor's. So, what is the reason to buy this relic? Style! That and maybe a misguided sense of loyalty to a well made phone. Personally, I pocket this as a dicta-phone!
