Best tool in the shed.
Bought this as we had to pull a lot of tree stumps at our new house but have since used it for all sorts of jobs including pulling a dumper out of mud up to its axles,changing wheels on a tractor, lifting a roof beam to change a post the list goes on.Got to admit that at first although it worked ok it was a bit of a faff switching from lift to lower until I realised there was no lubrication on the pins or linkages.A squirt of oil and it was transformed switching from lift to lower with one finger.The instructions that came with it were pants but if you search "High lift jack" you'll find no end of videos and different uses for it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

48" High lift jack
This high lift jack came with a top clevis bolted on ( a lot don't even have one you have to spend another £20 to get one). The base is cast and not press steel, tack welded together so it's not going to fall apart the first time you get a landy 2' of the ground. The overall appearance of the jack is of a well made and overly strong construction well capable of handling it's 3 ton max load. Very solid
Very good price compared to the prices you'll find in retail stores. I used this to jack up 3 tree stumps. This would have been a very expensive cost to hire someone to do it. Obviously you'll still need to severe large roots from the stump. But once that is done and you position the jack in the right place, jacking up the stump can be done effortlessly. It eventually died and now the pins keep slipping from some serious overloading but after the punishment I put it through it owed me nothing.
