Excellent quality product that gives you more than a tripod mount
Well made out of quality aluminium, machined well with not snags or miss castings. Finished in a quality coating and foam to protect the lens body. My only wish would have been that the length of the lens support area had been about another 25mm longer. But do not let this stop you from purchasing it! it is just my preference, I also found the mount to be a good hand hold under the camera lens and base when hand holding it gives something more to grip.

A necessary Item for the P1000
Been using it for 2 weeks. It fits well with the P1000. It also allows me to adjust the camera slightly to the back on the tripod so that the camera dont immediately dip to the front when the lens is extended fully. No issues thus far.
