An essential item
I consider this an essential household item and keep one or two in hand for whenever I need to repair a dripping toilet cisterns or my water tank ball valve. I used to get from DIY stores but now find they are no longer stocked and seem to want to sell you a complete new ball valve instead, which is less convenient, more expensive and harder to fit than having a repair kit. Fitting is easy and only takes a few minutes. The only tool needed is a pair of pliers for the split-pin. ( you may need to re-use the old one away if neither of the new fits its hole ). As the body of the valve remains in place there is no risk of a leaking joint.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Can you "like" a ball valve replacement set?
It seems that I have to express a liking for a ball valve replacement set, though for the life of me, I don't know how this might differ from "liking" a house brick or a milk bottle. I am happy if it fulfills its design function. However, just to follow the brief - The replacement set will cope with old fashioned plunger valves or diaphragm valves (bit of wastage if you only have one type of float valve fitted!). It is meant to be a back up in case of failure so it has not been fitted yet but I expect it to work correctly. (incidentally - I see that you can buy a complete new valve for £4.50 in Wilko so this is worth noting).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
