OK and Nice Looking for the Price. Not for Daily Use.
I've used this slicer twice. The first time it blew a fuse. Fortunately, the manufacturer included a spare. As explained in the manual, the spare is for the unlikely event that the motor should overheat. Despite the blown fuse, the slicer cut decently well. I was able to cut some nice thin slices of prosciutto and pancetta. However, meat must be positioned and held correctly. It helps if you set up a kind of rhythm when cutting. Never force the meat through. Allow the machine to slice at its own pace.
Care should be taken when cleaning the blade, as it's very sharp. After removing the blade, you will see plastic gears that are heavily lubed. Be careful not to wash the lube away. If this happens, recoat with vaseline.
Conclusion: This is not a commercial grade slicer. It's for occasional use and for smaller portions of meat. If you're looking for a daily slicer, I wouldn't recommend it.
