Peace of mind for under twenty pounds
I bought this lock as a peace of mind item for my daughter who currently lives alone. First thing you notice is with it correctly fitted the door doesn't move at all or "rattle" and when you try the door from outside the door seems as solid as the wall it's built in. Shortly after fitting the item my daughter failed to lock her back door but the bolt was fitted. Her neighbour said they saw someone try her door while she was out at the front of her home. Again even with the door unlocked this product held the door firm and safe. I'll go as far as saying my daughter was so impressed with this item she wants another one for her front door as well and she'll buy it rather than me having to . Which is very high praise indeed from a Yorkshire woman to her Dad and she's also recommended it to her long term boyfriends parents . Not recommended
Very fiddly to open, this could be lethal if you have to quickly escape from your room in case of fire. Installation instructions are not sufficient. If installed too close to surface of door it is not possible to open it. I learnt this on the hard way: literally locked myself in and had to break out of my room due to lock jammed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
