Very Nice Razor
I have been shaving for 20 years, and I decided to FINALLY breakdown and get this razor. I read that this razor is not aggressive, and it isn't. But, it works exceptionally well with the Feather Blades. I've used these blades in other razors, and I always got nicked no matter how careful I was. Well, this razor is manufactured perfectly, and the Feather Blades give a very close shave. The razor is stainless steel, and the weight and balance are perfect. Quality product
Have had this for a month now, in rotation with the Executive Shaving Outlaw and the Muhle 89, the Feather is a great razor very mild which also can be deceiving, especially with Feather or Kai blades that are very sharp. As I am new to DE shaving, I have a while left I think to get my technical expertise down and as of now I am liking my cheapest razor the best (Muhle 89) although the handle on the 89 is a bit slippery when wet, the Feather also commands a slightly different technique, more 40d instead the more normal 30d. No doubt the Feather is quality vice the best and trough time I hope to master it better. I would recommend it, but I think it needs to be used with blades that are on the sharper side as it is a very forgiving/mild razor.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beautiful design manufactured to the highest tolerances. Holds the blade firmly in place so that you won't cut yourself due to wobble in the blade. This is not an aggressive razor, so technique really matters. You will need to experiment a bit to find the optimal angle that the balade should make with your skin. the upside is that you are less likely to suffer from nasty cuts than with a more aggressive razor. Finally!
I have gone through adjustable DEs, Gems, Artisan SEs spending hundreds and hundreds only to get rough shaves, nicks and weepers (in more ways than one). I was about to go back to electric shaving even buying a Braun 9, when I decided to try this Feather razor as a last ditch effort. To my surprise it literally 'flowed' across my face yielding a DFS on the first pass, (I'm a one pass shaver) without nicks or weepers..ever..even when I am careless!. Very mild, very expensive and worth the investment.

Clean, gentle and smooth shave with Astra platinum blades. Superior quality manufacturing is obvious once you hold it.
