Lovely construction, manual focus with focus peaking in medium to good light works best. 35mm eqivilent of 18mm is a great focal length. Ive used full frame and 12mm and full frame with 16-35. Rarely id go as wide as 16mm and 12 is only for astro i find. 18mm is nice and on a 24mp sensor you can crop a decent amount to close it down to around 24mm FOV and retain great quality. For indoors, astro and video the f2 really comes in handy. Shallow DOF wide FOV for video is very pleasing on tracking subjects. No thank you f4!

This is the second samyang lens I have bought and I have yet to be disappointed. Ok it's manual focus, but that really isn't an issue once you get past f5.6 as everything is in focus. Just read the reviews, it is a quality lens and tremendous value for money.

Amazing value for money. Sharp with not much CAs or distortion. Big depth of field so does not need to be AF. A quality product. I also own the Fuji X mount version and it performs exactly the same. It will be interesting to see what else Samyang come up with in the next few years...
