Tight and tidy crimps
I needed to replace some uninsulated terminals on my motorhome but I only have tools to fit insulated terminals. I found this crimping tool on ebay at a very reasonable price and ordered it. The pliers arrived, undamaged, in a self seal poly pack, a couple of days ahead of schedule. Full marks for delivery. The build quality is better than I expected for the price, with the only difference between these and my insulated crimping tools being the terminal locator. This would have ensured correct positioning of the terminal, in the jaws, before crimping. However, with a little practice terminals can be fitted neatly and with good, low resistance electrical connection. I have used this tool extensively on several different projects, including a microwave oven loom repair and performance is still as good as the day i bought it. Great item at a great price you cannot go wrong with these
I had mainly been using the cheap crimpers but struggled to get a decent connection to the spade connectors without the wire slipping out these crimpers with the ratchet system do it extremely well and with ease. They are aslo colour coded for the varying thickness of the connectors. I just wish I had bought these sooner and with a lifetime guarentee you cannot go wrong.
