    Perfect, great value storage solution

I needed a bit more storage space in my very small kitchen and this sideboard does the job perfectly. It looks good, easy to assemble and is very light weight. The draws and doors open and close easily. I was able to assemble it all on my own and DIY isn't my thing but the instructions were easy enough to follow. It did however take me a lot longer than the stated 40 minutes to assemble. It took me more than 2 hours. I think it is a great little unit and well worth the money.

    good for the price

It says 40 minutes to build - rubbish! If the instructions were accurate (several errors) and clear, then it would not take 20 minutes to read and understand them. I bought 2 and I built the first one myself and it took about 6 hours over 3 days. I had help with the second one (someone who has built a lot of furniture) and even with his help and knowing the problems from the first one, it still took 3 hours to build. Although the finished product is as good as you can hope for with a cheap self-build product, we will be changing it when we can find something we really like and these 2 will be consigned to a storage room, where they will serve an excellent purpose. As cheap everyday useable furniture, I can't really complain and they will serve the function they were bought for. Would I buy Mercer furniture again? Yes, probably, if I want a cheap, functional, product that is frustrating to build.

  • Cheap and cheerful

Took me just under 5hours to put this together and had a lot of trouble putting this together, dowels were either too big or too small. Some of the holes had been drilled too big which caused a lot of problems trying to put it together. Looks lovely when put together but I had to bodge a lot of it. However the bottom corner of the side board is not screwed in properly as the holes were not aligned and had been cut too big. On the whole I would not purchase anymore of this furniture. You get what you pay for with this.

  • Pretty shoddy

I have now ordered 4 pieces of this furniture from the same company and everyone has had faults from holes drilled in the wrong places and plugged, to foot prints on the wood. The pocket hole tool they use makes the screws go in off centre so the frame can crack, and alignment of the pieces has been off too. The overall look of the furniture I like, just think the guys making the product should take more care as it’s not as if it’s a cheap argos piece of furniture your buying.

  • Great product, well prepared and looks good on construction

This range of high quality/low budget has began excellent buy (I have various items now). There is a 'real wood" feel about everything and so long as you are patient in assembling it will provide a great piece of furniture. If there was an area for improvement, it would only be the instructions that took me a while to work out but once in the routine of what to look for and frequent check backs to the itemised list of panels, fittings etc it all falls into place quite easily.

  • Nice item

Lovely looking item should you want a traditional country theme at a cheap price. Took time to put togeather but I am not diy minded. One screw mark was slightly out of line. Really happy with purchase and hope to buy more of range

  • Good piece of furniture

Well it took two of us to assemble. Approx 5 hours over two days. Not!! the easiest thing to assemble even with the correct tools. It is not top quality but looks good. Carboard bottoms of drawers and the wood is very light. But............cheap as chips and it will certainly do us. As I said, it looks good and that is all that matters apart from doing the job that it was bought for.

  • Corona Sideboard

Took me a lot longer than 1 hour to assemble. The fittings are marked but the wood panels are not. Took me a while sorting them out and using my own sticker system. Ended with 2 pieces of wood left! Not sure what the dowel pieces in the drawers do so left out. Matches my tv stand so pleased with end result.

  • Great value

The first thing is once you have sorted everything out into order it’s easy and straightforward if each piece was numbered or lettered it would be a lot easier

  • Good sturdy sideboard, poor instructions and labelling.

a good looking sturdy sideboard. However, I am an accomplished DIYer, and I found the building instructions somewhat difficult to follow, plus none of the wooden panels were individually Identified and you have to work them out for yourself. it took me several hours to build this. We are happy with the end result, so worth the effort.
