    totally effective

This target works as advertised. I have used one for four years with my 350fps bow. I needed a new target for my new 400fps crossbow because some areas of the original target were becoming shot out. That will happen. The exterior wrap of the first target held up just fine (field points only) and the interior packing is also mostly still very good. I used the first target at a close up 25 yards only. So I bought the second target for the new crossbow to use at 20 yards in my backyard and moved the older target into my field to now use at 40-60 yards for which it will still work just fine. The interior of the Bone Collector seems to made of highly compacted dry fibers, seems very low tech, that just plain really stops 340 gr bolts at 19+ yards while sighting in my scope at 400fps. And you can pull out the bolts just fine with one hand - no, not two fingers, but yes one hand. And there is no stickiness or other issues that I have read about with some of the other more high tech laminated and more costly targets. I don`t know about them, but this Morrell product works. I keep mine outdoors 24/7 for these past four years and no problems. I like the assorted markings and target points and bright yellow coloring of the exterior just fine. Works just great with my 60# recurve too. Got my new one for $93 including shipping, came super fast. Don`t need to try anything else.

    Bad bag

While it does exactly what it is supposed to do which is stop crossbow bolts it missed the mark. The stuff is packed so tight that if you shoot anywhere in the middle of the bag from any direction it causes my Parker bolts to fray and little strands of fiber glass come up where it went in ever time. Bolts are not cheap so won't be using this product. Have used different versions of this bag before and none of them ever did it. Only reason I replaced because my buddy accidentally shot a few broadheads into bag. Older versions were better if ask me.

  • Great target!

My husband has been drawn for an elk hunt for archery and is using the target for practice. He says it is excellent quality! He is very familiar with the brand name.

  • Morrell Double Duty 450 FPS Archery Target.

This target is not cheap. Eighty plus for a target to me is high, with that being said it definitely puts the brakes on my bolts. I shoot a killer instinct Ripper rated at 415 fps and use the bolts that came in the packages I’m fairly certain that it’s shooting 400 plus fps. The bolts go in about 8 inches. It does its job and feels well built ,heavier then most targets but perform it does. I have shot it as close as 10 yards and no worries of over penetration. Bolt removal is not super hard but definitely not pulling them out with 2 fingers but my 6 year old son is able to remove them by sitting in front of target and bracing with his feet while pulling on the bolts so it doesn’t take a ton of hand strength to remove them.I would recommend this target if you shoot a high speed bow and use it enough to justify the cost.

  • Good target

I have a Barnett ghost revenant 415, rated at 415FPS. I sighted in my crossbow shooting at least 30 bolts with field points. The bolts never dug in to where I couldn't easily remove them with ease. I don't know how long it will last but I'm completely satisfied, and would highly recommend this target for fast shooting bolts with field points.

  • Excellent target for a fast crossbow

It does a great job with shooting bolts into with a crossbow. No problems with target at all, Highly recommend it to everyone, also the different shooting sides are alot of fun to shoot at, make a game of it and have a great time shooting with family and friends.

  • Quality practice archery target.

I purchased a new Barnett crossbow and chronographed the bolts shot from it at 408 fps. I shot one of my existing archery bags and the bolt blew clean through it. This bag is rated at 400 fps. I have shot quite a few bolts into this target and it stops the bolts dead. The bolts are also easily removed. I recommend this product to anyone shooting a bow or crossbow that chronographs at 400 fps.

  • High Speed Target

I shoot two TAC-15's which are hard on any target because of their bolt velocity. But the unit worked fine as long as I used practice tips. But don't use broad-head tips because it will travel straight through the target and ruin your fletches. But overall it is a very good target.

  • So far so good

I fire a bow at 65+ pull back strength. Stops my arrows within 3-4 inches of travel with narrow field tips. With 200+ shots into it so far within a couple of weeks it works well. The dart board side is excellent for tuning aim, balance and grip to really practice accuracy and getting the arrows where you want them repeatedly.

  • 8 out of 10

I enjoy using this target but after a few uses on one side the arrow tends to stick pretty bad where you're really pulling & tugging. I had one arrow got pulled out & insert got stuck inside. Brand friggen new too !! I had to use pliers to pull the insert out.
