  • For the price, great.

These are not the prettiest set of gimlets and bradawls, but for the price they are well worth getting. I prefer the pretty wooden handled ones but so does everyone else. If any of these get "lost", they are cheap and easy to replace. I actually bought two sets, in case of breakages or loss. They certainly do the job for which they were made; what more can you wish for. They also seem to be strong enough for most normal work. I therefore recommend these, as at the price they are a real gift.

  • Robust, lightweight and exellent VFM

Gob smacking amazing value for money & quality and very happy with the set. My local DIY chain store has these packaged individually under a different brand name for £3 each! The Gimlet's have a good bite but not aggressive action and the handles are robust with a surprisingly comfortable grip. Good for any amateur woodworker or Bushcraft toolkit.

  • Needed a awl for work I was doing found the perfect one

I Received the awl and Bradawl quickly and undamaged. This set is perfect as I gave some away as extra presents. I have found the Awl easy to use and has not broken yet. It has helped me on many jobs that I have done in the house or Garden.

  • Some things are better manual than power

This is the second awl and grinder kit I have owned, my next door neighbour has always borrowed my first set and would dearly love to buy it, but I bought my second set for my son and now my neighbour is buying his own set.

  • Brilliant.

You get all 5 items and they cost less than a single item at High Street stores. Bought these to replace an old bradawl that was way past its use by date, so pleased I did. The shipping and packaging were great too, highly recommend.

  • Pilot holes

This is a good set for making pilot holes, pre-drilling or holes for small screws, easy to use and stronger than I thought they would be - well haven't broken any yet, after quite a few uses.

  • excellent for all those little jobs

I am a 70 year old lady who unfortunately has a husband with dementia, who could do any D I Y,i always had a bradawl in my sewing box for all kinds marking button holes etc etc and my husband always borrowed it,i bought him a Bradwawl but put cotton on mine so i would know it was mine,i now do the DIY and these tools are handy to making holes for a screw,to put a hook up to make holes to hang things up.i would not be without a bradawl, one handy gadget.

  • Cheap and perfectly functional

Amazing value. Works really well. A tiny bit of one of the gimlets has come off the sharp point but it was really hard wood that I was boring into.

  • Excellent value for money and are ideal for the handyman

They will meet the needs of any DIY person that is for sure. They as others say are not the prettiest tools in your box, but for what you pay they are fine. Think the professional would not have them, but then who cares :). Sure I will in time buy a decent bradawl but only when I have lost or broken these.

  • Easy to use all five in the pack.

So easy to use because of the ergonomic handles, my bradawl was a traditional smooth wooden handle type that I struggled to grip because my hands are weakened with age.
