Good value kit
Can't believe they can make this and send it at this price! For anyone who uses a chainsaw occasionally, this is a must. Great eye protection, good headphones that fit well and a hard hat in case the tree falls on top of you!!! The chin strap is a bit this and cheap, but the rest more than makes up for it. Right out of the box my new helmet looked/felt low quality..The visor mounting arms were so thin, & did not lock in place as they should, the retractable ear defender arm came apart every time it was moved, and the ratchet set-up to tension the helmets head-strap was so flimsy and did not hold in position..Overall if you're serious about your PPE, then pay more...My fault for expecting quality at a cheap price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very good for the money
Can't go wrong for the money. Pleasantly surprised. Bought for some home chainsaw use and more recently with a strimmer (wear additional safety glasses when strimming as the faceshield isn't enough). Easy to adjust and just as good as more expensive options. Only criticism is the elastic chipstrap has a small plastic cup for your chin and it tends to slip off and the strap ends up on your nose. Have used a top branded safety helmet for years and came the time for replacement was shocked at the price of a new one. Took a chance on this cheaper model and have been very pleased at the quality of the product. It is comfortable and effective, a little heavier but much easier to adjust for size with the winder system, not unlike a lot of cycle helmets. Hi, I've used my petrol chainsaw safely for many years with ear and eye protection but recently bought two petrol strimmers; a smaller strimmer for grass and edging a big strimmer for combined grass and brush strimming; I'm new to strimming but I did browse YouTube for safety precautions and I'm glad I did before using the strimmers. The helmet at first looked rather strange and with it's metal mesh face shield and I wondered how I would be able to see through this; once the helmet was assembled I found it comfortable with plenty of adjustment and in use soon settled down using it. For the money I think it's excellent; not top quality and long term I don't know how it will stand up to use but having tried it I'm pleased with it; helmet; eye and ear protection all in one at such a low price it's better than suffering an accident and spending time in A&E. During my brief use I found the strimmer to throw missiles a long way and a number of these hit the mesh to bounce off harmlessly; I'm about to strim our meadow and I'll definitely be wearing this helmet.
