Big improvement to my broadband coverage!
I live in an apartment in an old converted building. Thick walls everywhere! Was getting frustrated with annoying issues from buffering video watching sport, same with Zoom calls to downright dropped signals. So bought these based on many reviews I have read. I was a bit wary because I have tried lots of different methods, extenders, boosters, hard wiring with ethernet connectors but still not fantastic. The 4 mini discs arrived boxed as new complete with instructions, short ethernet cables and power adapters. Instructions were easy to follow so after downloading the BT Wholehome App to my Smartphone and watching the BT Set Video, I began setting up the first disc which has to be attached very near to your Broadband hub with the short ethernet cable. Easy to set up. Then started playing around with the other discs. Instructions on this bit not quite clear at first but what you do is power each in turn next to the hub and press the wps buttons. The password to use is the same as the first disc. Once the next disc light turns solid blue it connects in sequence to the first disc. Then use the very clever time saving app to relocate the disc. After experimenting I got all 4 working reasonably well. But realised that the first disc DOESN'T have to be next to the main hub. Only needs to be hardwired to the hub. So I bought a 10 metre Cat 7 flat Ethernet cable, and ran it under the carpet to the point were I had my 2nd disc. Worked perfectly. The app will tell you it's in a perfect spot. Then I moved all the discs one by one further into the apartment. So now I have 2 discs in perfect locations according to the app and one which is good but needs its position tweaking. I'm going to buy another one to extend the signal yet again then I should have perfect coverage throughout the apartment. Just take your time working through it and it works really well for me. Works well with unmanaged ethernet switch
Current setup: NOW BROADBAND router connected with single ehtenet to Tp-link TL-SG10SS unmanaged switch, with 3 BT discs wired to switch (one with the router and 2 in various parts of the house). The app works well (android with Huawei P30 Pro). Once setup (optional:disable your router's WiFi signal), you'll end up with a single WiFi name and password, whereby your devices will automatically choose the best disc to connect to, giving you the strongest wireless connection. Via the app, you can easily rename the discs, connected devices and setup a guest network (gives you a separate WiFi name and password for your guests, which just makes you feel a bit fancy). Great WiFi coverage at a great price
Living in an old cottage with thick walls, getting an even WiFi coverage was always a problem - patchy signal at best, dead-spots at worst. This product has dragged my cottage into the modern era! I opted for the 4 disc package, which though not necessary for the size of the property, gave a certain peace of mind. Easy to set up, and with an app that makes life simple, I highly recommend this product to anybody with a weak or patchy WiFi signal. Works well when set up as Ethernet backhaul

Not a great range
