Good features and easy to use
I am very pleased with our new clock radio. The time display is large and clear, and the brightness can be set to low or high. I like the two alarm settings (weekdays, and weekends) and find them much easier to change than on our previous unit. We did have to fiddle about with the aerial to get a good radio reception on BBC4, but we do live in a remote area, and other stations came in clearly without any effort. Just Plain Rubbish
First one received was faulty, no digital display. Tone is very tinny with no bass whatsoever, the tuning dial is very small and at most times unable to tune into FM stations as the stations are grouped very close together, you have to continuously retune. The tuning dial works better on MW stations. This radio is not up to the usual Roberts standards has now been consigned to the rubbish bin. This is a good quality item as you would expect from Roberts. Simple to set up and does what it's supposed to do. The only criticism I have is the eerie green glow in the room at night from the LED display, even when it's set to low. It definitely interferes with sleep so until I can think of a better solution I've put an envelope in front of it. The LED display could do with being quite a bit dimmer. Not tinny at all!
A good quality item which is easy to use and sets itself up when it is plugged in. Switching between wave bands has to be done manually but as I listen to only one station while I nod off that's not a problem for me, and there is an alarm system which can be configured for most needs. Sound and display great.
