Best quality general purpose Scissors!
The best all purpose scissors you can buy in my opinion. They stay sharp, but it is best to buy one of the Fiskars hand conditioners and sharpeners to keep the blades in tip top condition. I use something like WD40 to clean the blades if it have been cutting material like sticky tape as the main thing that can affect the blades is getting them gunged up with residue. Yes they do cost a bit more than the common cheap pairs of scissors, but they will outlast about ten pairs of that type so in the long run they are cheaper!

Lifetime dressmaking shears
Having used Fiskars shears for 40 years I would not buy another brand. The latest pair are for my granddaughter's GCSE option, as they will make her projects that much easier to manage. She should never need to buy another pair, as long as she remembers to not use them for paper. You can have them re-sharpened, but anything will cut paper, but no other scissors cut cloth so well. (Of course, she will also have to protect them from theft, and endless requests to borrow them)

You can not beat Fiskars for scissors very high quality. Comfy to hold. Cut like butter. Brilliant on a curve. I have a few pairs 25 inch for fabric. 25 inch for card & paper. Embroidary snips and a rotary cutter.

Great investment
I am very happy with these shears. They are very sharp right to the ends and are very well made. I also bought the sharpener at the same time which is brilliant. These came recommended to me by the place I buy most of my fabric from. He uses them all day every day and sharpens them once a week. He has had them for over 2 years now. In my opinion a great investment.

Great general purpose scissors
Well made sharp scissors, especially suitable for curtain making, they cut heavy fabric beautifully. Rather large for my hands and they would be a bit big for cutting out children's clothes and intricate details. Still very useful general purpose scissors
