VINTAGE SCI-FI COLLECTION
The VINTAGE SCI-FI COLLECTION is an awesome bargain ... a "six-pack" of Columbia releases from the late '50's and early '60's that has a little for every sci-fi aficionado. Surprisingly well-acted, with hot babes, dinosaurs, and even "Godzilla-type" destruction from outer space. That would primarily refer to "BATTLE IN OUTER SPACE" . If you want gripping drama, there's "THE DAY THE WORLD EXPLODED" ... earthquakes gone bonkers, threatening to destroy the planet. In "THE 27TH DAY" comes an ultimatum from outer space, in the form of a test, ultimately proving you cannot trust those nasty 'cold-war' Russians. OK, so "THE H-MAN" is a little ludicrous. Are you saying "12 TO THE MOON" isn't ? Moon-voices and lunar love on the moon's surface, without helmets? Say it couldn't happen. And then there's "VALLEY OF THE DRAGONS". My favorite, and the reason I purchased this ensemble. A meteor gone bonkers come too close to Earth and bites out a chunk of it, carrying off two duelists to a world of dinosaurs, giant lizards ... and hot cave girls. Sounds like Utopia to me. Yes, it's a plethora of gripping sci-fi action. And all obtained for one low price. Thank you Hollywood, Toho Studios, and Columbia Pictures. Especially for those hot cave girls. Too bad we had to travel to some other-worldly meteor surface to meet a Playboy playmate. But ... it was surely worth the trip !!!! === JIM DRISCOLL ===

YOU'VE SEEN IT BEFORE I was surprised to see so many titles I already had from other collections. Look closely before you buy. We love B-movies, and these bargain collections are hit and miss. This one comes in at the middle. For five bucks and free shipping, there was little to lose.

I love old classic Sci-Fi movies. I grew up watching these films on TV. I just wish they were all available and in very clear HD clarity. There are so many great old films that are not available on DVD and I really wish they were.

All pro's here! Excellent old sci-fi movies! Awesome old movies with really crazy-funny special effects! Valley of the Dragons has monitor lizards and baby alligators with horns glued to their heads, absolutely hilarious! And the "H-Man" movie which is Japan's version of The Blob is an awesome show of 50's visual effects....the best they had at the time! All in all an awesome collection of engaging movies and characters!!

Everything old is new again
These oldies are a hoot to watch. You can see how far we have progressed. The films are well transferred. Sight has no flickers and sound has no gaps. Only thing missing was the aide for the hard of hearing.
