NotesDigitally remastered two CD set containing Commander Cody's three Warner Bros albums from 1975 and 1976. Immensely popular live, this country rock-western swing-rockabilly band couldn't quite achieve great chart success. All three albums here did make the US Top 200, but Cody decided to disband the act in 1976,We've Got A Live One Here! was recorded in England during their tour in January and February 1976.
This 2 disc set of Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen is nothing short of spectacular. Their live version of "Hot Rod Lincoln" alone is worth the price of all three albums included on the discs. I don't think there was ever a finer group of musicians, or even a funnier group. As the Commander has recently died, people won't be sorry owning three of his gems.
This is three albums combined onto one CD. The music gets progressively better track after track and peaks with the best rendition of Hot Rod Lincoln ever. The band's signature tune wraps the CD up with Lost in the Ozone. My favorite song frequently changes to whatever is currently playing.
Very lively through and through. If you're down in the dumps, this will lift you up.
