A good read and many happy memories for me.
David Thomas was sat beside me by Mrs Teasdale when he started school in 1955, I had started at the Easter but because he was born in the October he began in the September. My mother always kept me informed about David's life and career through his mother. For me this book was a look back to my childhood, I still remember Mr Schofield and Mr Proud, plus Tiny Harper, our teachers and headteacher at St Helen's School pictured in the book. I respect David's honesty about the football profession when he wrote this book and can only wish him well both in his life and fund raising in the future.
